What's Going On At Hanky Panky HQ

There’s never a dull moment at Hanky Panky, we always have something exciting and a little ‘off-menu’ in the works. We’ve held poetry nights to pantos and festivals to folk nights. If you’re interested in hosting an event or attending one we’d love to hear from you.

Testify - Poetry Night

Held Monthly

Testify Poetry is a community organisation that organises open mic nights and writing workshops, using Hanky Panky as their usual haunt.

They aim to provide accessible, inclusive, welcoming spaces for anyone who wants to write or perform poetry.  They especially welcome marginalised voices that are not traditionally heard in the wider poetry community.

At Testify Poetry nights, all poets and work is welcome, whether a experienced performer or a first timer!

We ask that you respect the space and the people you share it with.

The only rule of Testify is: no racism, sexism, transphobia, fat phobia or ableism.

Testify – Poetry without the pretension.

The Mystery Of The Flowery Knob

December 2018

We’d wanted to do it for years….. oh yes we had!

Mid November 2018 saw the beginning of a run of after work rehearsals for a pancake flippin’ panto!

Goodies, baddies, a gorgeous dame and stacks of naughtiness entertained a full house on four December nights. Over 18’s only enjoyed the Mystery of the Flowery knob and roared for more- watch this space!

The Night Out In

Friday & Saturday Night
One of the things we love is sharing a bottle of wine over a lovely dinner out. During lockdown we were really missing  this experience and thought maybe you were too… we created a night out in.
Teaming up with White Fox wines has proved a very tasty experience!

Cabaret Night

2017 - 2018

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside… Back in 2017 – 2018 we had a wonderful run of cabaret nights known as The evening at the end of the pier. A sumptuous night out combining a themed 3 course dinner, served at your candlelit table with performances inspired by Moulin rouge, Arabian nights and those groovy summer of love sounds to name a few.

Simply put we wanted to combine our love of live music & theatre with our love of food .

When Hanky Panky Takes To The Road

On the rare occasion that we aren’t flipping some fluffy pancakes or spicing up sumptuous sauces, chances are that we’re on the road in the trusty Panky Van. We love getting out there, and sharing our passion for pancakes with the nation’s hungry festival goers.
If you’d like more info about our festival set up, or are interested in booking us for an upcoming festival, we’d love to hear from you.
